Foreign direct investments and loans from China have in recent years enabled some of Serbia’s largest and most polluting infrastructure projects in coal, mining and transport sectors. The joint analysis by Renewable Energy Research Institute (RERI) and Just Finance examines the impacts of concrete investment cases in Serbia, and how the weakening of law and transparency requirements have provided loopholes for large-scale infrastructure investments including that from China.
