Legal Analysis: Increased Legal Violations from Chinese Investments in Serbia

Serbia has seen an increase of Chinese investments and lendings in recent years. Simultaneously, available data show that a weakening of law and transparency has provided loopholes for large scale infrastructure investments, including that from China.

Just Finance International and Serbia‚Äôs Renewables and Environmental Regulatory Institute (RERI) have released a legal analysis detailing how a weakening of law and transparency in Serbia has provided loopholes for large scale infrastructure investments from China which has increased in its investments and lending to Serbia in recent years.
